Vietnam to Lebanon visa requirements

Vietnamese ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Lebanon, and must also obtain prior approval (security clearance) from Lebanon's General Directorate of General Security before the visa can be issued. Vietnam is not on Lebanon's visa-free or visa-on-arrival lists, and there is no eVisa. As of 2026, Vietnam (ordinary passport) is a visa-required nationality for Lebanon. Lebanon grants visa-free entry or free visa on arrival to a defined set of nationalities (GCC states, Jordan, all EU/EEA states, the US, Canada, Australia, Japan and roughly 80 territories) — Vietnam is not among them. Vietnamese citizens must apply for a sticker (consular) visa in advance and, critically, the application requires prior approval from Lebanon's General Directorate of General Security (La Surete Generale), a security pre-clearance that typically adds several weeks. Because Lebanon has no embassy or consulate in Vietnam, applicants apply through the nearest Lebanese mission abroad (for example Kuala Lumpur or Jakarta), where personal appearance is generally required. The single-entry tourist visa normally permits a stay of up to one month. Lebanon strictly refuses entry to any traveler whose passport shows Israeli stamps, visas or seals. Lebanon is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Given the prior-approval requirement and the absence of any no-visa channel, the correct verdict is visa-required, and travelers should allow 6-8 weeks of lead time.
