Spain to Ukraine visa requirements

No visa is required. As an EU citizen, a Spanish ordinary passport holder can enter Ukraine visa-free for tourism and stay up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Spain is a member of the European Union, and Ukraine grants EU citizens full visa-free access for short visits. A Spanish ordinary passport holder may enter Ukraine for tourism, business, or transit without any visa and stay for up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period. This is Ukraine's own national entry rule; Ukraine is NOT part of the Schengen Area, so the EU Schengen 90/180 rule, ETIAS, and the EES do not apply to entering Ukraine (those systems govern travel INTO the EU/Schengen, not into Ukraine). At the border, Ukrainian officials may ask for a passport valid for the duration of stay, proof of the purpose of the visit (such as a hotel booking), evidence of sufficient funds (roughly EUR 60 per day), and increasingly medical insurance valid in Ukraine. IMPORTANT: Ukraine is under martial law due to the ongoing armed conflict. While the country legally remains open to foreigners and the visa-free regime is in force, the foreign ministries of Spain and the EU strongly advise against travel to Ukraine.
