Spain to Thailand visa requirements

Visa-free for up to 60 days under Thailand's current published P.60 scheme, with TDAC required before arrival. Re-check before travel because a 2026 rollback is approved but takes effect only after Royal Gazette publication plus 15 days. Spanish ordinary passport holders are currently listed in Thailand's P.60 visa-exemption scheme and may enter Thailand without a visa for tourism or short-term business engagements for up to 60 days per entry. The stay may be extended once for up to 30 days at Thai Immigration discretion, usually with a THB 1,900 extension fee. Travellers must submit the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within 3 days before arrival, hold a passport valid for at least 6 months, have onward or return travel within the permitted stay, and be able to show adequate funds of THB 20,000 per person or THB 40,000 per family. Important pending change: on 19 May 2026 Thailand's Cabinet approved revoking the 60-day P.60 scheme for all 93 countries and moving countries, including Spain, into revised exemption categories. The Thai Department of Consular Affairs and Royal Thai Embassy Madrid state that the revised measures take effect only 15 days after the relevant Ministry of Interior announcements are published in the Royal Gazette. Until that effective date, current official sources still publish the 60-day P.60 rule. Work, long-term stays, retirement, study, family residence, or business beyond the exempt stay require the appropriate Thai visa.
