Spain to Myanmar visa requirements

Spanish passport holders need a visa for Myanmar. The simplest route is the official online Tourist eVisa (USD 50), which allows a single entry and a stay of up to 28 days. Spain is not on Myanmar's visa-exempt list, and there is no visa on arrival for tourism, so apply online before you travel. As of 2026, Spain (ES) ordinary passport holders are NOT eligible for visa-free entry or visa on arrival to Myanmar (MM) for tourism. The standard and recommended route is the official Tourist eVisa applied for through the Myanmar Ministry of Immigration and Population portal at evisa.moip.gov.mm. The Tourist eVisa costs USD 50, is single entry, permits a stay of up to 28 days from the date of arrival, and the approval letter is valid for 90 days from the issue date (you must enter within that window). Standard processing takes a minimum of 3 working days. Applicants receive an acknowledgement email within about an hour and an approval letter by email once approved, which must be printed and presented on arrival. The eVisa is valid for entry only at the international airports of Yangon, Nay Pyi Taw and Mandalay, and at certain designated land border checkpoints (e.g. Kawthaung) — verify your specific entry point before travel. A passport valid for at least 6 months with at least one blank page is required. Myanmar is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route. Given the current political and security situation in Myanmar, Spanish travellers should also consult Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs travel advice before booking.
