Vietnam to Namibia visa requirements

Vietnamese ordinary passport holders need a visa for Namibia, but it can be obtained as a Visa on Arrival (VOA) for tourism. Namibia also runs an e-VoA online pre-application system that authorities strongly recommend using before travel to avoid delays at the border. Namibia is not in the Schengen area; it sets its own visa policy. Since 1 April 2025, Namibia ended visa-free entry for 33 mostly Western nationalities and introduced a paid Visa on Arrival regime. Vietnam was not among the visa-exempt countries before this change and is not visa-exempt now. However, Vietnam is one of roughly 90 nationalities eligible for the tourist Visa on Arrival, issued at designated airports and land borders. Travelers can also complete the application online in advance through the Ministry of Home Affairs e-VoA portal, which is the recommended route because it reduces processing time and uncertainty at entry. The VOA permits a tourist stay of up to 90 days and the visa is valid for three months from issuance. Required entry conditions include a passport valid for at least six months with at least three blank pages, a confirmed return/onward ticket, and proof of sufficient funds and accommodation. The fee for non-African nationals is N$1,600 (approximately US$85-90), payable at the port of entry or online. Because VOA eligibility lists and fees can change, and the channel is restricted to tourist purposes only, travelers should confirm their eligibility on the official MHAISS portal shortly before departure and keep evidence of their tourist itinerary.
