Vietnam to Kazakhstan visa requirements

Vietnamese ordinary passport holders can enter Kazakhstan visa-free for tourism for up to 30 days per visit (capped at 90 days within any 180-day period). No visa is required. A QazETA electronic travel authorization is currently recommended but not yet mandatory during its pilot phase. Since 1 August 2025 Kazakhstan extended its 30-day visa-free regime to citizens of an expanded list of countries, which includes Vietnam. A Vietnam ordinary passport holder traveling for tourism or a short visit does NOT need a visa for stays of up to 30 calendar days per entry, subject to a cumulative limit of 90 days within any rolling 180-day period. The passport should be valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay, and travelers should be able to show onward/return transport and sufficient funds at the border. Separately, Kazakhstan launched the QazETA electronic travel authorization (via the QazETA mobile app) on 15 July 2025 for visa-exempt travelers. During the current pilot phase it is recommended but not mandatory and is free of charge; authorities have signaled it will gradually become a mandatory pre-arrival requirement, so travelers should check its status before departure. Because no visa is required for short tourist stays, the best verdict is visa-free; the only required action is meeting standard entry conditions and optionally completing the QazETA.
