Vietnam to Honduras visa requirements

A Vietnamese ordinary passport holder needs a visa to enter Honduras for tourism. Vietnam is not on Honduras's visa-exemption list and falls in the most restrictive "Consulted Visa" (Visa Consultada) group, which requires prior written authorization from Honduras's National Migration Institute (INM) before a consulate can issue the visa. Honduras does not grant visa-free entry, visa on arrival, or an eVisa to Vietnamese ordinary passport holders. Vietnam is explicitly excluded from Honduras's roughly 84 visa-exempt jurisdictions and is also excluded from the concession that lets certain nationalities enter visa-free with a valid US, Canadian, or Schengen visa. In practice Vietnamese nationals are classified in Honduras's "Consulted Visa" (Visa Consultada) category: the application must first be authorized by the Instituto Nacional de Migracion (INM) in Tegucigalpa, after which a Honduran consulate abroad issues the visa. Because Honduras has no embassy or consulate in Vietnam, applicants apply through the nearest accredited Honduran mission (commonly in the region or via a mission covering Vietnam). The government visa fee is about USD 100, plus the lead time needed for INM authorization. Honduras is in Central America, not the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Travelers should plan for several weeks of processing and should not buy non-refundable tickets until the visa is granted. Honduras is part of the CA-4 border control agreement (with Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua); the authorized stay applies cumulatively across all four countries.
