Singapore to Yemen visa requirements

Singapore ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Yemen. There is no visa-free entry, no visa on arrival, and the new eVisa is restricted to accredited tourist-group applications from a handful of other nationalities (not Singapore). In practice, regular tourist visa issuance is largely suspended due to the ongoing armed conflict, and Singapore advises its citizens not to travel to Yemen. As of 2026, a Singapore citizen holding an ordinary passport must obtain a visa before traveling to Yemen. Yemen grants visa-free access only to Hong Kong SAR passport holders and visa on arrival to citizens of a short list of mainly Arab states; Singapore is on neither list. Yemen launched an electronic visa platform on 24 June 2025, but it currently only accepts tourist-group applications lodged by travel agencies accredited by the General Authority for Tourism, with a minimum group size of about ten members and round-trip tickets. Independent tourist visas for individual foreign travelers are not generally being issued, and the broader visa process is effectively on hold except for people of Yemeni origin, staff of international organizations, accredited journalists, and diplomats. Compounding this, both the Singapore government and major foreign ministries strongly advise against all travel to Yemen because of civil war, terrorism, kidnapping risk, and the absence of functioning consular support. Travelers should treat Yemen as visa-required and, realistically, currently inaccessible for ordinary tourism. Anyone with an essential reason to go must arrange the visa through an accredited Yemeni travel agency or a Yemeni diplomatic mission well in advance, allow several weeks of processing, and confirm requirements directly because rules change with the security situation.
