🇸🇬Singapore🇷🇺Russian FederationSG-RU Singapore to Russian Federation visa requirements
Singapore ordinary passport holders need a visa for Russia, but qualify for the convenient unified electronic visa (e-visa) for tourism, applied for fully online before travel. Singapore is not on Russia's visa-waiver list, so a Singapore ordinary passport holder cannot enter visa-free for tourism. However, Singapore is one of the 60+ nationalities eligible for Russia's unified electronic visa (e-visa), which covers tourism, business, guest and humanitarian visits and is valid for travel to the entire Russian Federation. The e-visa is applied for entirely online through the official Russian MFA portal (evisa.kdmid.ru) - no embassy visit or invitation letter is required. As of the August 2025 reforms, the e-visa is valid for 120 days from issue, allows a single entry with a maximum stay of 30 days, and costs a USD 52 consular fee. Processing is fast, typically up to 4 calendar days; applicants should apply at least 4 days before departure and no earlier than 90 days ahead. Russia is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Travelers who need multiple entries, longer stays, work, study or study purposes must instead obtain a traditional visa through the Russian Embassy/visa center in Singapore, which requires a formal invitation (visa support). Always verify current rules on the official portal before applying, as Russian visa policy has changed several times recently.
