Singapore to Madagascar visa requirements

Singapore ordinary passport holders need a visa for Madagascar, but it is easy to obtain. Madagascar is not visa-free for Singaporean citizens, but it operates a straightforward electronic and on-arrival tourist visa system open to all nationalities. The official government portal (evisamada-mg.com) issues a single-entry tourist eVisa with a maximum duration of 60 days; a separate 90-day category exists at consulates and via the airport counters. Authorization is issued no later than 72 hours after the online registration is validated, so travelers should apply a few days in advance. The identical visa can also be purchased on arrival at eVisa counters at major international airports for the same fees, which makes Madagascar effectively a visa-on-arrival destination as well, though the eVisa is recommended to avoid airport queues. A significant 2026 change: as of 16 February 2026 the 15-day eVisa fee tripled from EUR 10 to EUR 30 (USD 35), ending the previously near-free short-stay channel; the 30-day (EUR 35), 60-day (EUR 40) and 90-day (USD 59) tiers were unchanged. Madagascar is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Entry requires a passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay with blank pages, and proof of onward or return travel.
