Mexico to Mongolia visa requirements

Mexican ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit Mongolia for tourism and can obtain it online through the official Mongolia eVisa system. There is no visa-free entry for ordinary Mexican passports; the existing Mongolia-Mexico waiver covers only diplomatic and official passports. As of mid-2026, holders of an ordinary Mexican (MX) passport are NOT eligible for visa-free entry to Mongolia. Mongolia maintains a bilateral visa-waiver with Mexico, but it applies only to diplomatic and official/service passport holders (up to 90 days); ordinary passport holders are explicitly required to obtain a visa. Mexico is also not among the 34 countries covered by Mongolia's temporary 30-day tourist visa-exemption scheme (extended through 1 January 2027), which is limited mainly to EU member states, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. For tourism, the practical route is Mongolia's official Electronic Visa (eVisa), available at evisa.mn since 1 October 2021. Mexico is on the eVisa-eligible nationality list. The tourist eVisa is a single-entry document permitting a stay of up to 30 consecutive days, typically valid around 150 days from issue, with processing generally within about 3 working days. The single-entry visa fee is approximately USD 50 (additional service/processing charges may apply on the portal). A passport valid at least six months beyond the intended stay is required. Foreigners staying longer than 30 days must register with Mongolia's Immigration Agency in Ulaanbaatar; for a standard 30-day-or-less tourist eVisa stay this registration is not required. Travelers should apply only through the official portal evisa.mn and avoid third-party agents that charge inflated fees.
