Do Finland passport holders need a visa to visit MN?

Finnish ordinary passport holders can travel to Mongolia visa-free for tourism for up to 30 days. No visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is needed under Mongolia's temporary exemption, which has been extended through the end of 2026 (until 1 January 2027). Finland is one of 34 countries (mostly European, plus Australia, New Zealand and the UK) covered by Mongolia's temporary visa-exemption regime. Finnish citizens holding an ordinary passport may enter Mongolia for tourism without any visa and stay for up to 30 days per entry. The exemption first took effect on 4 January 2023 and, on 31 December 2025, the Mongolian government extended it for another year, so it now runs until 1 January 2027 (effectively covering all of 2026). At the border, no visa fee is charged and no application is required in advance. Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least six months from the date of arrival and may be asked to show onward/return travel and proof of accommodation. Mongolia is NOT part of the Schengen Area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS are irrelevant for entry to Mongolia. Stays beyond 30 days require a visa or an extension obtained from the Immigration Agency of Mongolia before the 30-day period expires.
