Spain to Venezuela visa requirements
Spanish ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourist visits to Venezuela. As an EU citizen you may enter visa-free and stay up to 90 days, which is extendable for a further 90 days through the Venezuelan migration authority (SAIME). Spain is an EU member state, and Venezuela grants visa-free tourist entry to all EU nationals. A Spanish citizen with an ordinary passport can travel to Venezuela for tourism without applying for any visa in advance and without paying a visa fee. The standard tourist stay is 90 days, generally extendable once for another 90 days by applying in-country to SAIME (Servicio Administrativo de Identificacion, Migracion y Extranjeria). At the border travelers receive an entry stamp and, in some cases, a tourist card; no electronic authorization, no eVisa and no visa-on-arrival sticker is required for an ordinary passport short tourist visit. Venezuela is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to entering Venezuela (ETIAS is a future EU system that will affect Venezuelans entering Spain, not the reverse). Travelers should carry a passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay, evidence of a return or onward ticket, proof of sufficient funds, and accommodation details, as these may be requested by immigration officers. Note that the practical situation in Venezuela is volatile: flight connectivity is limited, currency controls apply, and many governments maintain elevated travel advisories. The visa rule itself, however, is clearly visa-free for short tourism for Spanish passport holders.
