Spain to Senegal visa requirements

Spanish (EU) ordinary passport holders can enter Senegal visa-free for tourism and stay up to 90 days. No visa or eVisa is required for short visits. You will need a passport valid at least 6 months beyond arrival, proof of onward/return travel, and accommodation details; a yellow fever certificate is required if arriving from a country with transmission risk. Senegal grants visa-free entry to nationals of all European Union member states, including Spain, for stays of up to 90 days for tourism or business. Senegal is a West African country and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to this route (ETIAS concerns travel INTO Schengen, not out of it). The visa-free arrangement has been stable, although Senegalese authorities floated reciprocal visa proposals in 2019 and again in September 2024; as of mid-2026 no such requirement has been implemented and EU/Spanish nationals continue to enter visa-free. At the border, Senegalese immigration may ask for evidence of onward or return travel, proof of arranged accommodation, and sufficient funds. A passport with at least 6 months remaining validity is required. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for travelers arriving from (or transiting) a country with yellow fever transmission risk; it is strongly recommended for all visitors regardless. Stays beyond 90 days require registration with local authorities and a residence card (Carte d'étranger). Because no visa is needed, there is no application fee or processing time for a short tourist visit.
