Spain to Saudi Arabia visa requirements

Spanish passport holders need an eVisa for tourism in Saudi Arabia. Spain is on the eligible list (all EU/Schengen states), and the tourist eVisa is issued online in 1-2 working days. Saudi Arabia is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to entering Saudi Arabia. As a Spanish (EU/Schengen) citizen, you are eligible for the Saudi tourist eVisa, which Saudi Arabia introduced in 2019 and has since expanded to 60+ countries including all EU member states. You apply entirely online through the official portal at visa.visitsaudi.com before traveling, with no sponsor or embassy visit required. The eVisa is a one-year, multiple-entry visa allowing stays of up to 90 days per visit, and the total cost (around SAR 535) includes the visa fee plus mandatory medical insurance. Spanish nationals (as EU residents) are also among the few who may obtain a visa on arrival at major Saudi airports, but the eVisa is strongly recommended to avoid airport queues and the risk of being turned back. The eVisa covers tourism, leisure events, family visits and Umrah (outside Hajj season) but not paid work. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry.
