Spain to Lebanon visa requirements
Spanish ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa in advance for Lebanon. EU nationals, including Spain, receive a free visa on arrival valid for one month, extendable up to three months, issued at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport and other ports of entry. A Spanish ordinary passport holder traveling to Lebanon for tourism is granted a free visa on arrival under Lebanese General Security rules covering EU/Schengen member states. The visa is issued at the port of entry (Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport or land/sea borders) at no charge, is valid for an initial stay of one month, and can be extended for up to two further months (three months total) through the General Directorate of General Security's Department of Arabs and Foreigners. No advance application or embassy visa is required for short tourist visits. Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least three months beyond arrival (six months is strongly advised), a confirmed return or onward ticket, proof of an address and contact telephone number in Lebanon, and proof of sufficient funds. A critical and strictly enforced restriction applies to everyone regardless of nationality: any passport containing an Israeli stamp, visa or seal, or evidence of prior travel to Israel, will be refused entry and the traveler may face detention. Lebanon is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to entering Lebanon. As of 2026-05-30, this free visa-on-arrival channel for EU passports remains in force per the official General Security website.
