Spain to Hong Kong (SAR China) visa requirements

Spanish ordinary passport holders can visit Hong Kong visa-free for up to 90 days for tourism. No visa or pre-arrival registration is required. As an EU member-state national, a Spanish ordinary passport holder enjoys visa-free entry to the Hong Kong SAR for up to 90 days per visit for tourism, leisure, or short business/social visits. There is no visa, eVisa, or electronic travel authorisation to obtain before departure — you simply present a valid passport at immigration, where the officer grants permission to stay (typically stamped or recorded electronically). Your passport should be valid for at least one month beyond your intended stay (six months is the safe standard), and you should be able to show adequate funds and onward/return travel. The 90-day visa-free stay is for visit purposes only: you may not work, study, or run a business, and the stay is not normally extendable for tourism. Hong Kong is NOT part of the Schengen area and is administered separately from mainland China — Chinese visa rules and ETIAS do not apply to a Hong Kong visit. Overstaying is a serious offence carrying fines and possible prosecution.
