Spain to Finland visa requirements

No visa needed. As an EU citizen, a Spanish passport holder enjoys full freedom of movement and can travel to Finland for tourism with no visa, no ETIAS, and no time limit on short visits. Spain and Finland are both EU member states and part of the Schengen Area. Under EU freedom-of-movement rules, a Spanish citizen can enter Finland with only a valid Spanish passport or national identity card — no visa, no eVisa, and no ETIAS authorisation is required. The Schengen 90/180-day short-stay limit and the new ETIAS travel authorisation apply only to non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationals, so they do NOT apply to Spanish citizens. There are normally no border controls between Spain and Finland; you may simply board a flight and enter. You can stay for tourism indefinitely as a visitor, and you only need to register your right of residence with the Finnish authorities if you remain in Finland continuously for more than three months. The Entry/Exit System (EES), launched in October 2025, applies only to non-EU travellers and does not affect Spanish nationals. A passport or ID card valid on the day of travel is sufficient, though carrying a passport is recommended for identity checks.
