Spain to Ecuador visa requirements

Spanish ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Ecuador. You may enter visa-free and stay up to 90 days within any rolling 12-month period on a T-3 tourist stamp issued on arrival. No advance application, eVisa, or fee is required for the standard tourist entry. As of June 2026, Spain is NOT on Ecuador's list of countries requiring a tourist visa. Holders of an ordinary Spanish passport receive visa-free admission for tourism, transit, and short business visits for up to 90 days per any 12-month period. Entry is recorded as a T-3 tourist stamp at the border and is granted free of charge. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival. Border officers may ask for proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds. If you want to stay beyond the initial 90 days, you can apply in-country for a one-time 90-day extension (a paid 12-IX tourist visa/extension) before the first period expires. Note: the recent 2024 changes to Ecuador's visa policy (reinstated visa requirements for China and several African nations) do NOT affect Spanish citizens. There is no eVisa, ETA, or visa-on-arrival process required for Spaniards; entry is simply visa-free. ETIAS is irrelevant for this route because Ecuador is not in the Schengen area and the traveler is departing Spain, not entering Schengen.
