Spain to Belize visa requirements

Spanish ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Belize. As an EU citizen you may enter visa-free for stays of up to 30 days. You must complete the mandatory online iDeclare immigration and customs declaration before arrival. Belize grants visa-free entry to all European Union nationals, including Spanish ordinary passport holders, for tourism and short visits. The standard visa-free admission is 30 days, which can be extended monthly at a Belize immigration office for a fee if you wish to stay longer. There is no visa fee for the initial entry. Since the rollout of the Online Immigration and Customs Declaration System (iDeclare) at Philip Goldson International Airport on 1 December 2024 and extended to all ports of entry by 1 January 2025, every traveler (including visa-exempt nationals) must complete the digital iDeclare form before arrival and present the resulting QR code at the border. On arrival you should hold a passport valid for the duration of your stay (at least 30 days beyond departure recommended), proof of onward or return travel, and evidence of sufficient funds (about USD 75 per day). Belize is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply to entering Belize. Verified against the official Belize Department of Immigration website and the Belize iDeclare government portal as of 2026.
