Spain to Angola visa requirements

Spanish ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Angola. They may enter visa-free for up to 30 days per entry (maximum 90 days per year). A yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory. Since Angola expanded its tourist visa-exemption program on 9 October 2023, Spain is one of 98 nationalities (including 35 European countries and the entire EU) whose ordinary passport holders may enter Angola without any visa for tourism. The exemption allows stays of up to 30 days per entry and a cumulative maximum of 90 days within any 12-month period. No prior application, eVisa or visa-on-arrival is required for a short tourist trip — travelers simply present a valid passport at the border. Important conditions: the passport must be valid for at least six months with blank pages, and a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory for all travelers over 9 months of age. The exemption is strictly for tourism (and, since December 2023, certain business activities); work, study, residence, or longer stays still require an appropriate visa, available as an eVisa or from an Angolan consulate. Angola is in Africa, not the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS are not relevant to this route. Border officers retain discretion and may request proof of onward travel, accommodation and sufficient funds.
