Australia to Morocco visa requirements

Australian ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for tourism in Morocco. They are granted visa-free entry for up to 90 days on arrival, with no application or fee required. As of 2026-05-30, Australia is on Morocco's visa-exemption list, allowing ordinary Australian passport holders to enter for tourism and short visits without a visa for up to 90 days. No pre-travel application, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival is required. Travelers simply arrive at a port of entry and receive a 90-day entry stamp. Requirements at the border are a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the date of entry, proof of onward/return travel, proof of accommodation, and proof of sufficient funds (commonly cited as roughly the equivalent of EUR 70 per person per day). Morocco operates an Electronic Travel Authorization system (AEVM), but as of mid-2026 it applies only to a small number of specific nationalities (e.g., Congo-Brazzaville, Ecuador, Ghana, Guinea) and does NOT apply to Australians; Morocco has signaled it may eventually extend AEVM to all visa-exempt nationalities, so travelers should re-check before departure. Visa-free entry covers tourism and short stays only; work, paid volunteering, or business activity require the appropriate visa. Overstaying the 90-day limit can result in fines, deportation, and entry bans; stays beyond 90 days require a long-stay visa or residence permit obtained through Moroccan authorities. Morocco is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
