Australia to Cambodia visa requirements

Australian passport holders need a visa for Cambodia. The easiest option is the official Cambodia eVisa (Type T tourist visa) applied for online at evisa.gov.kh before travel: single entry, up to 30 days stay, USD 30 visa fee plus a small processing fee, usually issued within 3 business days. A visa on arrival is also available at major airports and main land borders. Separately, all air arrivals must complete the free Cambodia e-Arrival card online within 7 days before arrival. Australia is not on Cambodia's visa-exemption list, so an ordinary Australian passport holder requires a visa for tourism. The recommended route is the Cambodia eVisa (Type T tourist visa) obtained online from the official government portal evisa.gov.kh. It is a single-entry visa allowing a stay of up to 30 days, is valid for 3 months from the date of issue, costs USD 30 (visa fee) plus an approximately USD 6 processing fee, and is normally approved within about 3 business days. The eVisa is accepted at major air, land and sea entry points. A traditional visa on arrival (USD 30, paid in cash) is also available at Phnom Penh, Siem Reap and Sihanoukville airports and at the main land crossings from Thailand and Vietnam, but the eVisa avoids queues and uncertainty. Cambodia is not in the Schengen area, so no Schengen 90/180 rule or ETIAS applies. Note a separate, free requirement: since 1 September 2024 all travellers arriving by air must complete the digital Cambodia e-Arrival card (immigration/health/customs declaration) at arrival.gov.kh up to 7 days before arrival; this is not a visa.
