Second, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (entering via Erbil or Sulaymaniyah) maintains a separate immigration regime and continues to grant Turkish citizens visa on arrival (or a Kurdistan eVisa); however, a Kurdistan-only entry does not automatically permit travel into federal Iraq. Because the question concerns a general adult tourist arriving in Iraq, the best single fit is eVisa. Travelers should carry a passport valid at least six months, proof of onward travel, and accommodation details.
