Saudi Arabia ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist trips to El Salvador. El Salvador places Saudi Arabia on its list of visa-exempt nationalities. A Saudi citizen holding an ordinary passport may travel to El Salvador for tourism without obtaining a visa in advance. On arrival at any international port of entry, the traveler purchases a Tourist Card (Tarjeta de Turismo) for USD 12, which authorizes a stay of up to 90 days. Because El Salvador is party to the Central America-4 (CA-4) Border Control Agreement with Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, the 90-day allowance is shared across all four countries on a single entry. The passport should be valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay, and immigration officers may ask for proof of onward/return travel and sufficient funds. El Salvador is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. No eVisa, ETA, or pre-arrival authorization is required for Saudi ordinary passport holders as of May 2026; multiple current sources (the El Salvador visa policy, Sherpa, and travel-industry references) consistently confirm visa-free access.
