Beyond the visa itself, travelers should weigh serious safety considerations: the U.S. Department of State and most European foreign ministries advise against all travel to Libya due to armed conflict, terrorism, kidnapping, crime and unexploded ordnance, and the Polish Embassy in Tripoli is closed, limiting consular assistance.
