🇲🇾马来西亚(Malaysia)🇷🇴罗马尼亚(Romania)MY-RO 马来西亚(Malaysia) 前往 罗马尼亚(Romania) 签证要求
No visa needed. Malaysian ordinary passport holders can enter Romania visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Malaysia is on the EU's visa-exempt (Annex II) list, so holders of an ordinary Malaysian passport do not need a visa for short tourist stays in Romania. Romania became a full Schengen member on 1 January 2025 (air and sea borders opened on 31 March 2024, land borders on 1 January 2025), so the standard Schengen short-stay rule now applies: up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period across the entire Schengen Area, not Romania alone. At the border you must show a passport valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended departure and issued within the last 10 years, proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds (roughly EUR 50 per day is commonly cited). ETIAS (the EU travel authorisation for visa-exempt nationals) is expected to start in the last quarter of 2026 with a transitional grace period, so it is NOT yet required as of June 2026; once live it will cost EUR 20 and cover Romania. Until then, Malaysians simply travel visa-free. Overstaying the 90/180 limit or working/studying requires a national visa or residence permit obtained in advance.
