South Korean ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist stays in Venezuela. They may enter visa-free for up to 90 days, receiving a tourist card (Tarjeta de Ingreso) on arrival. As of 2026-06-01, holders of an ordinary South Korea (KR) passport can travel to Venezuela (VE) for tourism without obtaining a visa in advance. Venezuela grants visa-free entry to Korean nationals for short visits of up to 90 days. On arrival, travelers are issued a tourist card (Tarjeta de Ingreso) — historically free or a small fee depending on the port of entry and airline practices. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry and have at least two blank visa pages. Proof of onward/return travel and sufficient funds may be requested by immigration officers. Note: Venezuela is in South America and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Travelers should also be aware that the South Korean government maintains a special travel advisory/ban (effective Nov 2025) for several border states (Zulia, Tachira, Apure, Sucre, excluding their capitals), and broader security warnings apply throughout the country. Because conditions in Venezuela change with little notice, confirm current entry rules with the Venezuelan diplomatic mission and check the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs advisory before departure.
