The base government fee is KWD 3, but since 23 December 2025 all visitors must also hold mandatory health insurance (about KWD 5) and pay a per-month-of-stay charge (about KWD 10/month), so a typical one-month tourist visa totals roughly KWD 18. Kuwait is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Travelers should carry a passport valid at least 6 months with blank pages, proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, and sufficient funds. Because the system was recently relaunched and the health-insurance rule is new, applicants should rely on the official MOI portal and confirm current fees at the time of application.
