The passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the visa's expiry. Azerbaijan is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. For a short tourist stay, the recommended channel is the free visa-on-arrival at international airports; pre-arranging an e-visa is advisable for travelers who want documentation secured before departure or who arrive at land borders where VOA may not be available.
