意大利(Italy) 前往 东帝汶(Timor-Leste) 签证要求

Italian passport holders can travel to Timor-Leste visa-free for tourism, staying up to 90 days within any 180-day period under the EU/Timor-Leste short-stay visa waiver agreement. Italy is an EU member state, and under the EU/Timor-Leste short-stay visa waiver agreement (signed 26 May 2015 and applied provisionally since signature), holders of an ordinary Italian passport may enter Timor-Leste without a visa for short stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period. This applies to tourism and business visits but not to paid/professional activity. No visa, eVisa, or visa-on-arrival fee is required for Italian nationals. Travelers must hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of arrival, with at least one blank page, and should carry proof of onward/return travel, sufficient funds, and accommodation in case immigration officers request them. Note that the older customs.gov.tl guidance listing only Portugal and the US as exempt predates and is superseded by the EU-wide visa waiver; the EUR-Lex legal instrument and the Immigration Service confirm the EU exemption. Entry by land from Indonesia has different rules for nationalities that need visas, but the visa exemption itself applies to Italians at recognized entry points. Always reconfirm close to travel, as Timor-Leste immigration policy can change.

High
/02
Short tourist stay
Visits for tourism well under 90 days fall squarely within the visa exemption, so no visa is needed.
High
/03
Ordinary passport held
The waiver applies to ordinary (as well as diplomatic/service/special) passports, covering standard Italian tourist travelers.
High
/04
No paid activity
The exemption excludes paid/professional work; tourism qualifies, while employment would require a separate visa.
Medium
/05
Outdated single-source confusion
Some older guidance lists only Portugal/US as exempt, but the EU-wide waiver supersedes it; this can cause uncertainty at land borders.
