HKSAR ordinary passport holders can enter Niger visa-free for tourism for up to 14 days. No visa or eVisa is required for a short visit, but a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate is mandatory on arrival. As of 31 May 2026, holders of a Hong Kong SAR ordinary passport enjoy visa-free access to Niger for short tourist visits of up to 14 days. This is confirmed by the Hong Kong Immigration Department's official list of visa-free / visa-on-arrival destinations (which includes Niger) and corroborated by Wikipedia's visa-requirements table, which states "visa not required, 14 days." Niger is a landlocked country in West Africa and is NOT part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Although no visa is needed for the 14-day window, travelers should note that Niger sits in the yellow fever endemic zone: a valid International Certificate of Vaccination (yellow fever) is required for entry. The passport should be valid for at least 6 months with at least one blank page, and travelers should carry proof of onward/return travel and sufficient funds. Stays beyond 14 days, or travel for work or other non-tourist purposes, require a visa obtained in advance from a Nigerien embassy or consulate (there is no eVisa or visa-on-arrival channel for longer stays). Note also that Niger has experienced political instability since 2023; travelers should check their home government's travel advisories before departure.
