Applications are submitted exclusively through the official portal at evisa.td, where the applicant creates an account, completes the form, uploads documents (passport, photo, accommodation proof, return ticket, proof of funds), pays the fee, and receives the visa electronically. The short-stay tourist eVisa is typically issued for a 30-day stay (some sources cite a multiple-entry option valid up to 90 days depending on purpose), with standard processing of about 10 business days. Chad is in Central Africa and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required, and travelers must register with local police within 72 hours of arrival. Because Spain has no visa-waiver with Chad and no visa-on-arrival is offered to Spanish nationals, the conservative and correct verdict is eVisa (apply online in advance).
