The VOA is a discretionary facility, not a right: the immigration officer can refuse it, and travelers must show a valid passport (6+ months), a return/onward ticket, proof of accommodation or an invitation, and sufficient funds. Because of that discretion and the risk of long queues, securing a regular tourist visa in advance from the Embassy of Bangladesh in Madrid (or via BLS/consular channels) is the more reliable option for a planned trip. Bangladesh does NOT operate a public tourist e-visa system (the visa.gov.bd MRV portal is primarily for missions and specific categories), so eVisa is not a practical channel for Spanish tourists. Bangladesh is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
