Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Myanmar and should apply online for the tourist eVisa before travel. The eVisa costs USD 50, is normally issued within about 3 working days, is valid for 90 days from the date of issue, and permits a single-entry stay of up to 28 days. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months on entry. eVisa holders may only enter through approved gateways: Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw International Airports, plus designated land-border checkpoints (e.g. Tachileik, Myawaddy, Kawthaung, Tamu, Rih Khaw Dar). Myanmar's visa-on-arrival facility is restricted to certain ASEAN nationals (Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam) and does not cover Egypt, so Egyptians must arrange the eVisa in advance. Myanmar is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen/ETIAS rules do not apply.
