Egypt to Myanmar visa requirements

Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa for Myanmar and should apply online for the tourist eVisa before travel. Visa-on-arrival is NOT available to Egyptians (it is limited to a few ASEAN nationals), so the eVisa is the standard route for a short tourist visit. Egypt is on Myanmar's eVisa-eligible list. An Egyptian ordinary passport holder traveling for tourism must obtain a Myanmar Tourist eVisa through the official government portal (evisa.moip.gov.mm) before departure. The eVisa costs USD 50, is normally issued within about 3 working days, is valid for 90 days from the date of issue, and permits a single-entry stay of up to 28 days. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months on entry. eVisa holders may only enter through approved gateways: Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw International Airports, plus designated land-border checkpoints (e.g. Tachileik, Myawaddy, Kawthaung, Tamu, Rih Khaw Dar). Myanmar's visa-on-arrival facility is restricted to certain ASEAN nationals (Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam) and does not cover Egypt, so Egyptians must arrange the eVisa in advance. Myanmar is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen/ETIAS rules do not apply. Travelers should also note that several governments maintain travel advisories for Myanmar due to the ongoing internal conflict and should check the latest security guidance before booking.
