Processing can take from one week up to one to three months, because applications are forwarded to the immigration authority in Brunei for approval. Applicants must present a passport valid at least 6 months with several blank pages, a confirmed (non-open) return air ticket, hotel booking, a covering/sponsorship letter, recent bank statements, and a passport photo. Brunei is in Southeast Asia and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
