Egypt to Brunei visa requirements

Egyptian ordinary passport holders need a visa obtained in advance from a Brunei diplomatic mission before traveling to Brunei. There is no visa-free entry, no visa-on-arrival, and no eVisa for Egyptian citizens. Egypt is classified by Brunei's Ministry of Foreign Affairs under "Category A," meaning Egyptian ordinary passport holders require a visa to enter Brunei Darussalam, which must be applied for at the nearest Brunei mission abroad (in Egypt, the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam in New Cairo). Egypt does not appear on any Brunei visa-exemption list (Category D), nor does it qualify for visa-on-arrival (Category C), and Brunei does not operate an eVisa platform for Egyptian nationals. A short tourist/visit visa is single-entry, costs USD 20 (USD 30 for multiple entry), and permits a stay of up to 90 days, with the visa valid for up to three months. Processing can take from one week up to one to three months, because applications are forwarded to the immigration authority in Brunei for approval. Applicants must present a passport valid at least 6 months with several blank pages, a confirmed (non-open) return air ticket, hotel booking, a covering/sponsorship letter, recent bank statements, and a passport photo. Brunei is in Southeast Asia and is not part of the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Given that no no-visa channel can be confirmed, the conservative and correct verdict is visa-required.
