Brazilian ordinary passport holders need an e-visa (ASAN Visa) for tourism in Azerbaijan. There is no visa-free or visa-on-arrival channel. Apply online at the official portal evisa.gov.az for a single-entry visa allowing a stay of up to 30 days. Brazil is not on Azerbaijan's visa-exemption or visa-on-arrival list, so Brazilian ordinary passport holders must obtain a visa before travel. The fastest and standard route is the official Azerbaijan e-visa, known as the ASAN Visa, applied for entirely online at evisa.gov.az. The e-visa is a single-entry document permitting a stay of up to 30 days, valid for tourism, business, transit and similar short visits. Standard processing costs USD 25 and takes up to 3 working days; an urgent option costs USD 60 and is processed within 3 hours. Both include an unavoidable USD 5 service fee, so the all-in cost is USD 30 (standard) or USD 65 (urgent). The passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the e-visa's expiry. The e-visa should be printed and presented with the passport at the border. Travelers intending to stay longer than 15 days must register their place of stay with the State Migration Service within 15 days of arrival (no state fee). Azerbaijan is not in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. As of 2026-05-30, no visa-free or visa-on-arrival agreement exists between Brazil and Azerbaijan, so the e-visa remains required.
