🇦🇷阿根廷(Argentina)🇨🇾塞浦路斯(Cyprus)AR-CY 阿根廷(Argentina) 前往 塞浦路斯(Cyprus) 签证要求
Argentine ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for short tourist stays in Cyprus. They may enter visa-free for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Cyprus is an EU member but is NOT in the Schengen Area, so this allowance is counted separately from the Schengen 90/180 limit. As of 30 May 2026, no ETIAS authorization is yet required (ETIAS launch is expected in the last quarter of 2026). Argentina holds a visa-waiver arrangement with the European Union and appears on the Republic of Cyprus Ministry of Foreign Affairs list of nationalities whose holders do not require a visa as bona fide visitors. An Argentine ordinary passport holder can therefore travel to Cyprus for tourism without applying for any visa in advance and stay up to 90 days within a rolling 180-day period. Crucially, Cyprus is a European Union member state but has not yet joined the Schengen Area; its 90/180 day count is independent of the Schengen zone, so time in Cyprus does not consume Schengen days and vice versa. Travelers must still satisfy standard entry conditions at the border: a passport valid for the duration of stay, proof of onward or return travel, proof of sufficient funds, and accommodation/itinerary details. The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) will eventually apply to visa-exempt nationals visiting Cyprus, but it is not operational as of 30 May 2026; the EU has announced an expected launch in the last quarter of 2026. Until ETIAS goes live, no online pre-authorization is needed. Travelers should re-check the ETIAS status close to their trip if departing in late 2026 or later. The verdict is conservative-safe: multiple authoritative sources, including the Cyprus government and EU guidance, confirm the visa-free channel for Argentine citizens.
