Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit SV?
UAE ordinary passport holders can visit El Salvador visa-free for short tourism. No advance visa is needed; you buy a USD 12 Tourist Card on arrival, valid for up to 90 days across the CA-4 region (El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua). El Salvador places the United Arab Emirates in its visa-exempt group, so an Emirati holding an ordinary passport does not require a visa for tourism or short visits. On arrival at Monsenor Oscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport (or a land/sea border) the traveler purchases a Tourist Card for USD 12, which permits a stay of up to 90 days. Because El Salvador is part of the CA-4 free-movement agreement, that 90-day allowance is shared across El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua combined. The passport should be valid for at least six months, and travelers should be ready to show proof of onward or return travel and sufficient funds. Importantly, the UAE is NOT among the 57 nationalities (mostly African states plus India and parts of South Asia) subject to El Salvador's USD 1,130 Airport Improvement Tariff, so Emirati travelers are exempt from that charge. El Salvador is in Central America, not the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply.
