Lebanon still grants UAE ordinary passport holders visa-free entry as GCC nationals, with a free 6-month stamp that can be extended to one year through General Security. However, UAE MoFA re-imposed a travel ban on UAE nationals traveling to Lebanon on 30 April 2026, so UAE citizens should not travel while that UAE ban remains in force. Lebanon grants visa-free entry to nationals of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) - Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman. Emirati ordinary passport holders therefore need no Lebanese visa, eVisa or visa-on-arrival sticker fee for tourism when travel is otherwise permitted. Lebanese General Security says GCC citizens receive a free 6-month stamp at the airport or other border posts, and that the period can be extended up to one year free of cost by the General Directorate of General Security, Department of Arabs and Foreigners. The exemption also applies to accompanying family members and, with valid UAE residence permits, domestic workers and drivers. Critically, UAE MoFA announced on 30 April 2026 a travel ban on UAE nationals traveling to Lebanon, Iran and Iraq and called on UAE nationals already there to return immediately. Twajudi registration does not waive that ban. This page therefore keeps the Lebanon-entry verdict as visa-free, but the practical answer for UAE citizens is: do not travel until UAE MoFA lifts or amends the ban. Lebanon is not in the Schengen area, so Schengen 90/180 and ETIAS do not apply. Lebanon strictly refuses entry to anyone with Israeli stamps, visas or evidence of travel to Israel.
