Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit LB?
UAE (Emirati) ordinary passport holders do NOT need a visa for Lebanon. As GCC nationals they are visa-exempt and can enter through any port of entry, including Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport, for tourism. The UAE's own four-year travel ban on Lebanon was lifted on 7 May 2025, so Emiratis may now travel freely — but they must register on the UAE "Twajudi" platform before departure. Lebanon grants visa-free entry to nationals of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) — Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman. Emirati ordinary passport holders therefore need no visa, no eVisa and no visa-on-arrival sticker fee. The exemption permits stays of up to six months within a single calendar year, and extends to accompanying family members and (with valid UAE residence permits) domestic staff and drivers. At the border, travellers present a passport valid at least three months beyond the intended stay with two blank pages, a non-refundable return/onward ticket, and a Lebanese address and phone number. Lebanon is NOT in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Critically, the UAE government had banned its own citizens from travelling to Lebanon (in place 2021–2025); that ban was lifted effective 7 May 2025, and Emirati nationals are now permitted to travel provided they register their trip on the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs "Twajudi" service. Lebanon strictly refuses entry to anyone with Israeli stamps, visas or evidence of travel to Israel.
