No visa needed. UAE ordinary passport holders can enter Denmark and the rest of the Schengen Area visa-free for tourism or other short visits for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. ETIAS is not required yet as of 18 June 2026. Denmark is a Schengen member state, and the United Arab Emirates is listed in Annex II of EU Regulation 2018/1806 as a visa-exempt third country. UAE ordinary passport holders may travel to Denmark for tourism, business, family visits, or transit without a Schengen visa for stays of no more than 90 days in any rolling 180-day period across the Schengen Area. At the border, the Schengen Borders Code requires a travel document valid for at least three months after intended departure from the Member States and issued within the previous 10 years, plus the ability to justify the purpose and conditions of stay and sufficient means for the stay and onward/return travel. Travel medical insurance is prudent but is not listed as a standard visa-free entry condition under Article 6. ETIAS is expected to start in the last quarter of 2026, followed by transitional and grace periods, so there is no action to take for travel today. Once applicable, ETIAS will be an online travel authorisation for visa-exempt travellers, costing EUR 20 except for exempt applicants such as those under 18 or over 70. ETIAS is not a visa and will not change UAE nationals' visa-free status.
