Do UAE passport holders need a visa to visit DK?

No visa needed. As a UAE ordinary passport holder you can enter Denmark and the rest of the Schengen Area visa-free for tourism for up to 90 days within any 180-day period. ETIAS is not yet required as of May 2026. Denmark is a member of the Schengen Area, and the United Arab Emirates is listed in Annex II of EU Regulation 2018/1806 as a visa-exempt third country. This means UAE ordinary passport holders may travel to Denmark for tourism, business, family visits, or transit without a visa, for a maximum stay of 90 days within any rolling 180-day period across the entire Schengen zone. No advance authorization is currently required. At the border you must hold a passport valid for at least three months beyond your intended departure that was issued within the last 10 years, and be prepared to show proof of onward/return travel, accommodation, sufficient funds, and travel medical insurance. The European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) is expected to become mandatory for visa-exempt travelers, including Emiratis, in the last quarter of 2026 (roughly six months after the Entry/Exit System launches). As of the current date it is NOT yet operational, so no ETIAS is needed for travel today. Once live, ETIAS will be a EUR 20 online pre-authorization (free for under-18s and over-70s) valid up to three years; it is a travel authorization, not a visa, and does not change the visa-free status. Travelers should monitor official EU and Danish channels for the precise ETIAS go-live date.
