Vietnam to Yemen visa requirements

Vietnamese (VN) ordinary passport holders need a visa to enter Yemen. There is no visa-free or visa-on-arrival channel for Vietnam, and Yemen's eVisa (launched June 2025) is restricted to organized tourist groups of 10+ booked through accredited Yemeni agencies. Independent travelers must apply in advance at a Yemeni diplomatic mission. As of 2026, Yemen requires Vietnamese ordinary passport holders to obtain a visa before travel. Vietnam is not among the small number of nationalities granted visa-free entry (such as Hong Kong SAR) or visa-on-arrival (limited mainly to Arab/Gulf and a few neighboring states like Malaysia). Yemen launched an electronic visa system on 24 June 2025, but in its current phase eligibility is limited to tourist group applications (minimum 10 members) submitted by travel agencies accredited by Yemen's General Authority for Tourism, with round-trip tickets required. Individual tourists therefore cannot use the eVisa channel and must apply for a sticker visa at a Yemeni embassy or consulate. The typical single-entry tourist visa costs around USD 50, is valid for up to 3 months, and takes roughly 2 weeks to process subject to security approval from authorities in Yemen. Practical issuance is constrained by the ongoing conflict: many Yemeni missions are not issuing tourist visas, and most governments, including travel-advisory bodies, strongly warn against all travel to Yemen due to armed conflict, terrorism, and kidnapping risk. Travelers should confirm current procedures directly with a Yemeni mission and consult their own foreign ministry's safety advice before booking.
