Vietnam to Türkiye visa requirements

Yes, you need a visa, but Vietnamese ordinary passport holders can apply directly for a single-entry Türkiye e-Visa online. Since 1 September 2025, no prior Schengen/US/UK/Ireland visa or residence permit is required for this e-Visa route. Vietnamese ordinary passport holders need a visa for Türkiye, and the easiest route for a short tourist or business visit is the Türkiye e-Visa. In a policy change effective 1 September 2025, Vietnam was added to the nationalities eligible to apply directly online, removing the previous requirement to first hold a valid Schengen, US, UK or Ireland visa or residence permit. The e-Visa is single-entry, permits a stay of up to 30 days, and is valid for 180 days from the date of issue. As of the live e-Visa flow checked on 2026-06-29, the Vietnam ordinary-passport e-Visa displayed a US$33 visa fee plus a US$18 service fee / e-Visa travel insurance charge (VAT included), for a total of US$51. Apply only through the official e-Visa portal, and wait for the emailed approval before finalizing travel. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises a passport valid for at least 6 months from arrival; by law, foreigners must also hold a passport valid at least 60 days beyond the visa's duration of stay. The e-Visa covers tourism and commerce/trade only; for work, study, non-permitted purposes or stays longer than 30 days you must obtain the appropriate visa through a Turkish mission.

Reviewed by Claude Code
Second-pass review: re-verified the evidence chain against official sources and found the prior update had mistakenly changed the e-Visa's 180-day validity to run from the selected arrival date; corrected back to date of issue, consistent with Türkiye's official e-Visa terms and every other verified Türkiye e-Visa file in this dataset. The US$33 + US$18 fee correction was independently re-confirmed and kept.
