Vietnam to Liberia visa requirements

Vietnamese ordinary passport holders need a visa for Liberia. There is no visa-free or visa-exemption for ordinary passports (only diplomatic/service passports are exempt). The standard route is Liberia's online Visa-on-Arrival pre-application (eVisa), submitted before departure and collected as a visa sticker at Roberts International Airport in Monrovia. As of 2026, a Vietnam ordinary (tourist) passport holder requires a visa to enter Liberia for a short tourist visit. Liberia and Vietnam have a visa exemption agreement, but it covers only holders of diplomatic and service passports, not ordinary passports. Because there is no Liberian embassy in Vietnam, the recommended channel is Liberia's official online Visa-on-Arrival system at visaonarrival.lis.gov.lr operated by the Liberia Immigration Service. Travelers create an account, upload a passport scan and photo, complete the form, and pay the USD 102.50 fee. Approval (a QR-code PDF) is typically issued quickly; it authorizes entry within 3 months. The actual visa sticker is collected on arrival at Roberts International Airport (ROB) in Monrovia, where an immigration officer grants either 30 or 90 days of stay. Note that Visa on Arrival is currently available only at Roberts International Airport. If a Liberian embassy exists in the traveler's country of residence, the embassy route must be used instead of the portal; for Vietnam-based travelers, no Liberian embassy is present, so the online portal applies. A passport valid at least 6 months beyond entry and proof of onward travel and yellow fever vaccination are expected.
