🇻🇳Vietnam🇰🇬KyrgyzstanVN-KG Vietnam to Kyrgyzstan visa requirements
Vietnamese ordinary passport holders can visit Kyrgyzstan visa-free for tourism. As of Resolution No. 855 (effective 31 December 2025), the visa-free stay is capped at 30 days within any 60-day period, counted from the date of entry. No visa, eVisa, or pre-registration is required for short tourist visits. Kyrgyzstan grants visa-free entry to Vietnamese ordinary passport holders for tourism and short visits, confirmed by the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Wikipedia visa-policy summary. Vietnam falls under both a bilateral 30-day visa-waiver agreement and Kyrgyzstan's unilateral visa-free regime. Following Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 855, which took effect on 31 December 2025, the visa-free allowance for the 55 affected countries (Vietnam included) was standardized and tightened to a maximum cumulative stay of 30 calendar days within any 60-day period, calculated from the first day of entry. This replaced the previous, more generous 60-days-in-120-days framework. Travelers do not need a visa, eVisa, or separate police/OVIR registration for stays within this 30-day limit. Vietnamese passport must be valid (recommended 6 months beyond travel) with blank pages. Those needing to stay longer than 30 days, or to return before 30 days have elapsed, must obtain a Kyrgyz eVisa (via evisa.e-gov.kg), a consular visa, or a residence permit. Note that Kyrgyzstan is NOT in the Schengen area, so the Schengen 90/180 rule and ETIAS do not apply. Because Vietnam has no resident Kyrgyz embassy and vice versa, consular matters are handled via accredited missions; this does not affect the visa-free tourist channel.
