Vietnam to Albania visa requirements

Vietnamese ordinary passport holders need a visa to visit Albania. The simplest route is the official Albanian e-Visa (Type C short-stay) applied for online at e-visa.al before travel, which permits stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. There is no visa-free or seasonal visa-free regime for Vietnam in 2026. As of mid-2026, holders of a Vietnamese ordinary passport are NOT visa-exempt for Albania. Vietnam does not appear in Albania's visa-waiver table, and Vietnam is not included in Albania's seasonal (15 April - 31 December) visa-free tourism regime, which covers only a handful of countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Thailand and Indonesia. Vietnamese travelers must therefore obtain a visa before arrival. The recommended and most convenient option is the official Albanian electronic visa (e-Visa), a Type C short-stay tourist visa applied for entirely online through the government portal at e-visa.al. The Type C visa allows a stay of up to 90 days within any rolling 180-day period and can be issued for single, double or multiple entries. The standard government fee for a Type C tourist e-Visa is 60 EUR, with processing typically taking around 9-15 working days (the law allows up to 30 working days in exceptional cases). Albania is NOT a Schengen member state, so the EU/Schengen ETIAS scheme does not apply to entry into Albania; however, the 90/180 short-stay counting concept used by Albania mirrors the Schengen rule. Applicants must hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond the intended stay and should carry proof of onward/return travel, accommodation and sufficient funds. Note: Albania separately recognizes holders of valid, used multiple-entry Schengen, UK or US visas/residence permits for visa-free entry, but a standard Vietnamese passport without such a document requires the e-Visa.
